Spoken English Pro (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information safely and responsibly. This policy covers this website, enquiries and bookings made through it, our live online courses, and the Spoken English Pro learning app at spokenenglishpro.app.

1. Information we collect

On this website

Enquiry details: the name, phone number, level and message you enter in the contact form. The form opens WhatsApp on your device with those details prefilled — nothing is stored on this website until you choose to send the message.
Booking details: when you book a free demo class, your name, email and chosen slot are collected by our scheduling provider, Cal.com.
Analytics: anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, collected via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity so we can improve the site.

In the app

Account information: your name and email address, collected when you register or sign in with Google, to manage your account and track lesson progress.
Voice and audio data: audio is captured from your device's microphone only while you are doing a speaking exercise, and only to perform speech recognition and pronunciation evaluation. It is processed in real time and is never sold or used for advertising.
Usage and progress data: completed lessons, practice scores and speaking progress, used to personalise your learning.

2. How we use your information

To respond to enquiries, schedule demo classes and enrol you in a course.
To provide, operate and maintain the tutoring service and the app.
To evaluate speaking accuracy, grammar structure and fluency, and give you feedback.
To authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
To process payments for courses and PRO access through our authorised payment processor.
To understand how the website is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your voice data for advertising.

3. Data security

All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes (100,000 PBKDF2 iterations) and never in plaintext.

4. Data retention and account deletion

We retain your progress data for as long as your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app under Dashboard → Account & Privacy, via our data deletion request page, or by writing to support@spokenenglishpro.com.

Enquiry messages and booking records are kept only as long as needed to answer you and administer your course.

5. Third-party services

We work with a small number of trusted providers, strictly for core functionality:

Google Identity Services — secure single sign-on for the app.
Razorpay — PCI-DSS compliant payment processing.
Cal.com — demo class scheduling.
WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to contact us that way.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — anonymous website analytics.

Each of these providers handles your data under its own privacy policy.

6. Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies only for analytics and for embedded services such as the booking calendar. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though the booking embed may not.

7. Children

Our services are intended for learners aged 13 and above. Younger students are welcome in our courses when a parent or guardian makes the booking and manages the account.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to support@spokenenglishpro.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting app users will also be notified inside the app.
